Background

The Census Bureau has announced that effective March 22 it added the following data elements to the Automated Export System 203 U.S. Principal Party in Interest Routed Report.

- USPPI contact name and phone

- forwarder company name, contact name, and contact phone

- unit of measure (quantity 1 and quantity 2)

- late file indicator

- license type code and number

Census said the expanded report provides greater visibility to users to measure compliance with routed export transactions but does not compromise the competitiveness between the USPPI and the foreign PPI.
